Business Transition In Process
Share
Hi everyone,
I wanted to share a quick update as I return to Pacifico Waves after taking a more passive role in this latest first quarter of the year. Pacifico Waves is transitioning from a boutique/retailer model into an Art & Design Studio.
I’ve genuinely loved building what this shop became. I had so much fun creating product photos, designing the site, learning branding, curating and creating pieces inspired by nature, while supporting other small and women owned businesses, working behind the scenes on all the details, and everything about being an entrepreneur. Even more than that, I loved going to markets, meeting new customers, and seeing people’s reactions to my little pop-up shop.
It truly was such a fun chapter.
But over time, I realized it wasn’t fully aligned with what I wanted to be doing—and the branding didn’t feel completely right either. It wasn't authentic enough.
My background has always been in art and design, while my day job is in sales. And if I’m being honest, I’ve really missed creating—painting, photography, and being involved in the community the way I used to be.
In the past, I was an artist with the San Diego Zoo, an art instructor + tattoo artist intern, a muralist for both commercial and residential spaces, and more. I worked with the city on design ideas through public art committee meetings, participated in shows, sold my work in local businesses, volunteered at annual art walks, and had the opportunity to win competitions and awards across different mediums. It was such a fulfilling season, and it’s something I feel called back to.
I do dream of having a retail space someday—with a little shop carrying plants, gear, and other cute items that feel complimentary to my brand. But for now, I’m excited to return to my roots and focus on creating.
I’ll be sharing more soon about the types of pieces and services you can expect moving forward. For now, I just want to say thank you—to everyone who supported Pacifico Waves as a boutique, whether you were a customer, stopped by a market, or encouraged me along the way. It truly meant so much.
This next chapter feels really exciting. I’ve spent tens of thousands of hours developing my art over the years, and after putting art on the back burner for almost a decade, only creating a couple times throughout the year, I’m looking forward to growing, learning, and sharing more of that journey with you here on a weekly basis.
